ft. valentines nails
one day my nails will be long enough to properly shape. and then another bunch of days after that, they will be long enough to properly shape having grown out the devastation i wrought upon them trying to remove gel polish 2 fast 2 furious.
i’ve been having such an absurdly fun time with my nails recently, to the point where the Sally’s Beauty employee and i have a friendly rapport (even though half the time i just walk in, spend 15 minutes sighing at all the product they don’t have in stock, then leaving with another bottle of discounted China Glaze and bag of cuticle pushers).
still, its preferable to going about anywhere else, especially when the cashier is a sweet older goth.
this is a valentines day set i really wanted to try. after my 3rd attempt at procuring an opaque pink creme, i finally succeeded in OPI’s “Lima Tell You About This Color”. a shade name that makes me think im either missing a reference, or the room where they pitch titles needs more ventilation.
also, i dont own any nail art tools, so i used a toothpick? i did like 8 trial runs, a few with a toothpick and a few with a minipainting detail sponge tool. in the end, i ran with the toothpick, and im frankly chuffed with the results.
